Katsina State - August 21, 2024:The Chairman of the Katsina State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission, Justice Lawal Garba Abdulkadir (Retired), has intensified efforts to strengthen collaboration with security agencies across the state. In a series of strategic visits, Justice Abdulkadir, accompanied by his delegation, met with key figures in the judiciary and police force to foster a robust partnership aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the commission's operations.

During a visit to the Office of the Grand Kadi of Katsina State, Justice Muhammad Kabir Abubakar, the delegation sought cooperation, highlighting the close alignment of their respective duties. Justice Abubakar praised the establishment of the commission by the Katsina State Government, acknowledging the significant challenges it faces. He emphasized the importance of the commission's role in tackling these challenges and urged the team to remain focused on the critical tasks ahead.

In a subsequent visit to the Katsina State Police Headquarters, Justice Abdulkadir and his team engaged in direct discussions with the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Musa. They presented the legal framework that governs the commission, seeking further collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

CP Aliyu Musa expressed his satisfaction with the visit and commended the commission's efforts. In his speech, CP Musa highlighted the importance of incorporating retired police officers into the commission, suggesting that such individuals could bring invaluable experience and facilitate various processes. He also pledged to provide the necessary security support for the commission’s activities, including protection for their homes and offices.

CP Musa concluded by expressing his confidence in the commission's leadership and its ability to guide the police in improving investigations and prosecutions. He assured the commission of continued cooperation and support, promising to allocate skilled prosecutors and investigators to assist in their operations.

The visits mark a significant step in the Katsina State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission's mission to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the state's security apparatus, ensuring a more coordinated approach to tackling corruption and enhancing public trust.
